“There’s only one force in the entire universe that is more powerful than love—four thousand times more powerful, to be exact,” says colour expert Julie Grobler. “That force is authenticity. When you lead with authenticity, you naturally attract the right opportunities, people, and circumstances into your life.”
What is colour analysis?
In the 1930s, art researchers took notice of an ironic phenomenon: prominent painters adhered to certain colours in their works as opposed to venturing out into other palettes—like Monet who painted exclusively in shades belonging to the summer colour season and Picasso who opted for winter hues only. Instinctively yet unbeknownst to them, they were in fact painting in colour seasons they themselves belonged to.
The roots of colour analysis are also linked to Hollywood, whose specialists began to question why the same leading ladies on the big screen dazzled in certain scenes yet somehow looked dull in others. The secret, it turns out, was in the colour of their clothes, makeup, hair, and jewellery.

From the moment we’re born, the research shows that each of us innately knows which colours look good on us and which do not. It’s only as we grow older that we begin to lose parts of this inner knowing and autonomy, caving into external influences such as parents dressing us up in colours they subjectively love, or trends that favour one colour season over another.
