It’s being dubbed the “Torynaissance,” and no, that’s not just clever wordplay. This isn’t the Tory Burch of preppy ballet flats and symmetrical monograms. This is Tory Burch, unbound, re-inspired, and madly in love with her own brand again. “I just rediscovered my passion for the creative process, because for so long, I was running the business.”
After fourteen years steering the ship, Burch did what most wouldn’t dare–she stepped back as CEO and fully immersed herself in the design studio. Handing the reins to her husband, Pierre-Yves Roussel, former chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group, Burch grabbed creative control with both hands. “I used to spend 20% of my time designing,” she says. “Now it’s 100%, and it’s changed everything.”
The result? A brand that doesn’t just look refreshed; it feels like it’s vibrating on a new frequency. A frisson that was palpable in Dubai, where Burch celebrated her Spring 2025 collection with a party at Skooni–the minimalist event space transformed into a massive turquoise pool, inspired by the NYC-staged runway show, packed with the city’s most stylish guests.
