Shifted from last Friday, 17 January, to this Thursday, 23 January, to allow members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences—many of whom were impacted or displaced by the recent devastating wildfires in Southern California—more time to cast their votes, the 2025 Oscar nominations ceremony was hosted by actors Bowen Yang, of Saturday Night Live and Wicked fame, and Rachel Sennott, known for Shiva Baby, Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Bottoms.
