Sydney Sweeney wrapped her forthcoming film just in time for Christmas. The White Lotus star is set to portray boxing champion Christy Martin in a forthcoming biopic. Images and videos of Sweeney from set show her in pure athlete mode, with a brunette ’90s mullet and era-appropriate muscle shirts. From the boxing ring and the luxurious Sicilian setting of White Lotus, to Euphoria’s school hallways, the Immaculate convent, and the rom-com world of Anyone But You—Sweeney clearly has range and the costumes to match.
In her own life, her personal style also oscillates from the hyper-feminine to the sensual and sexy (she is a lover of Miu Miu and Tory Burch in particular). This week, while out and about in New York, Sweeney kept both day and nighttime looks in step with her aesthetic, playing with texture and color.
On Friday, Sweeney headed out in Soho wearing a Moncler ribbed-knit wool puffer jacket in ecru with brown leather details, a plain white tee, and a Celine Triomphe Bucket Hat in sherpa cashmere that covered her softly crimped hair. She wore faded blue cargo jeans, brought together with a Miu Miu logo brown leather belt, and pointed Amina Muaddi white stiletto boots. Sweeney also carried a small Loewe Squeeze bag in nappa lambskin, a brand whose bag department she reaches for regularly.
The following evening, on Saturday, Sweeney stepped out for date night with her fiancé Jonathan Davino, photographed leaving Royalton Park Avenue having swapped the muted daytime palette and cozy knits for triple leather and a lace black bustier. Her leather blazer matched high-waisted, paneled leather pants that hung over patent, pointed boots. She carried a fluffy black evening bag. Sunglasses were the only carry-over.
