Over the years, many pieces from Diana, Princess of Wales‘s wardrobe have been auctioned and subsequently sold at whopping prices. From ball gowns to high jewelry, the variety of items that continue to be up for bidding prove just how remarkable and coveted the late royal’s style sense was. The latest, and arguably, the most wearable piece to now go on sale is her iconic red jumper featuring one black sheep among others in white.
From September 7-11, the Fashion Icons sale by Sotheby’s is auctioning 10 items online as part of New York Fashion Week, which includes Princess Diana’s jumper from the British brand Warm and Wonderful. It was most notably worn by her to watch a polo match played by King Charles III, the former Prince of Wales, in 1981, and later to another game in 1983. The lot, which has so far received 13 bids with the highest being US $110,000, also includes two letters from Buckingham Palace written to Warm and Wonderful cofounders Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir after the jumper suffered damage. “Lady Diana would be most grateful if you could look at it,” it read. “She likes it very much and would love to see it restored to health or replaced!” Osborne and Muir replaced the jumper with a new piece—which features the black sheep in a different spot—and the original one was eventually sent to Sotheby’s to be auctioned this week.

Also on sale is a vintage birds of paradise headpiece from the 1800s worn by Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City and And Just Like That. Joining it is a 1950s Norman Norell black dress worn by former US first lady Michelle Obama to a Christmas charity event at the White House in 2010, and a custom Givenchy gown Kate Winslet wore to the 1998 Academy Awards when she was nominated for best actress for Titanic.
