Nour Arida and Audemars Piguet Present a Dynamic Interplay of Heritage and Contemporary Wonders

At Dubai Watch Week, Audemars Piguet showcased a dynamic interplay of heritage and contemporary wonders, charting the maison’s endless journey to new horizons

Marked by an innovative spirit, Audemars Piguet has repeatedly ventured outside its comfort zone to push the boundaries of watchmaking. From creating the first wristwatch in 1892 to the iconic Royal Oak, the brand has always been defined by a forward-thinking disposition. For the latest edition of Dubai Watch Week, that penchant for moving towards new horizons is exactly what Audemars Piguet highlighted with a large-scale exhibition, Seek Beyond.

“We are delighted to take part in the sixth edition of Dubai Watch Week,” François-Henry Bennahmias, chief executive officer at Audemars Piguet, says. “This leading horological platform provides the ideal setting to share knowledge and take the watchmaking industry to new heights. And what better place than Dubai, the city of innovation par excellence!”

Divided into three rooms, the exhibition displayed a selection of heritage and contemporary timepieces; most notable among them the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Ultra-Complication Universelle, unveiled earlier this year. The timepiece features a 38mm case size to fit slimmer wrists, and the latest generation self-winding movement, a testimony to Audemars Piguet’s dedication to pushing their own limitations and constantly innovating. Other impressive novelties included the Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin model, a collaboration with American designer Mathew Williams, and more.
