Nicole Kidman Pops in Blue Balenciaga Dress at Caring for Women Dinner – WWD

Nicole Kidman was a vision in ice blue at the Kering Foundation Caring for Women dinner on Tuesday in New York City, wearing custom Balenciaga. Her strapless gown was based on look 53 from the brand’s couture fall 2023 collection, featuring tulle ruffles all over. To accessorize, the actresses added a pair of black jersey opera gloves and blue pantashoes in spandex jersey.

“Demna paraded upside-down tailoring, hand-painted trompe-l’oeil clothing — and a silvery Joan of Arc,” WWD reported about the brand’s creative director Demna and the collection in July.

When it comes to styling her looks, Kidman usually works with stylist Julia von Boehm.

Kidman has ties to Balenciaga, walking for the designer fashion house’s fall 2022 couture runway show and starring in the brand’s controversial spring 2023 advertisement.

At the couture show, which marked Demna’s second couture collection for Balenciaga, Kidman could be seen strutting down the runway in a silver one-shoulder gown with a long train. Other stars walked in the couture show as well, including Dua Lipa, Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid and Kim Kardashian.

Kidman has outfitted Balenciaga on many occasions. One of her most notable looks from the design house was a bold red gown she wore to the 2007 Academy Awards, which featured an oversize bow tie-neck detail that led into a long back train.
