Before the end-of-year festivities begin and people jet off to holiday, the Spring/Summer fashion shows bring together the industry’s most illustrious for one last hurrah on the calendar. After New York and London, Milan Fashion Week is now in full swing, and the region’s very own style stars are in the Italian city, representing the Middle East on the front rows.

Lebanese entrepreneur Karen Wazen was in on the action from Day 1, as she attended the Etro show, followed by the Max Mara dinner on Wednesday night. For the latter, the mother-of-three stuck to the brand’s signature minimal aesthetic in a black strapless gown with a velvet bodice. Black was also the color of choice for TV presenter Diala Makki and actor Mahira Abdelaziz for the Fendi and Del Core shows respectively. Makki went for an edgier look in a blazer dress cinched at the waist with a monogrammed belt and lace-up thigh-high boots, while Abdelaziz embraced the cut-out trend in a full-length dress with slits, and topped pearl accessories.

At the Max Mara show, corsets and separates were favored over dresses by former Vogue Arabia cover star and model Rym Saidi and Kuwaiti blogger Fatema Alawadhi. Saidi opted for a camel-colored top and bronze trousers paired with a black corset, which was also worn by Alawadhi together with strapless grey co-ords and a white shirt. The same day saw Deema Al Asadi make a case for prints among solid hues in a dark and light green camo top and skirt duo. Noteworthy mention also goes to Dubai-based influencer Farhana Bodi, who attended the Roberto Cavalli show in a black and white striped suit.
