Jessica Khoueiri-Achkar, Lebanese fashion designer and founder of ready-to-wear and jewelry label Jessica K, delves into the story of her brand.
Jessica Khoueiri-Achkar, fashion designer and founder of the label Jessica K, fell in love with design at a very young age, accompanying her mother during shopping trips. “From a young age, I was always captivated by the transformative power of clothing and jewelry,” she tells Vogue Arabia.
After studying fashion design at Instituto Marangino in London, the multi-hyphenate decided to go back to Beirut and pursue her dreams of launching her very own ready-to-wear and jewelry label. And so Jessica K was born. The brand not only embodies Khoueiri-Achkar’s artful vision, but also enmeshes cultural elements from Beirut, simultaneously supporting artisans from Lebanon’s villages. Below, Jessica Khoueiri-Achkar speaks to Vogue Arabia about the story behind her label, how she balances motherhood with work, and her plans to expand globally while maintaining her commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.
