How Victoria Beckham’s fashion label finally turned a profit

She has 30 million Instagram followers, American Vogue’s Anna Wintour and the British edition’s Edward Enninful on speed dial (and her front row), and the designer Marc Jacobs is one of her best friends. Victoria Beckham persuaded another pal, Drew Barrymore, to pose for the invitation to her catwalk show earlier this month.

Even the previously snooty members of the fashion pack have for some time agreed: the clothes with Beckham’s name on are looking good. So why has it taken so long for the brand she launched in 2008 to turn a profit?
