Harry Styles is nothing if not brand-loyal. Amidst the ongoing arms race to become the next It-sneaker, the singer is staying true to a time-honoured classic: the Adidas Samba.
A mustachioed Styles joined James Corden for coffee in London, dressed in a navy blue track jacket and matching joggers. But the singer, a noted fashionphile, dressed up his athleisure with the help of some standout accessories. He shaded his eyes with a pair of thick black Jacques Marie Mage aviators with sepia-tinted lenses and slung a canary yellow tote bag over his shoulder.
Styles stuck to his choice Sambas—the classic white with black stripes—for his outing. In a moment of BFF matching, Corden also rocked a pair of the trainers (albeit with red stripes that matched his maroon shacket).
As my British Vogue colleague, Daniel Rodgers, noted, the singer manages to make even the most ubiquitous shoe seem noteworthy. He clearly doesn’t seem to care what trends dominate the sneakersphere. Why should he? With his well-worn sneakers and his beloved aviators, Harry Styles exudes the confidence of someone who has hit their sartorial stride.
