Summer may be on its way out, but it’s never a bad time to wear a bright shade of yellow. Gigi Hadid was of the same mind as she made a rare public appearance on Wednesday at a Victoria’s Secret event in New York City. While other attendees including Naomi Campbell, Candice Swanepoel, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas stuck to moody shades and metallics, Hadid stood out in the joy-inducing hue.
The part-Palestinian model was photographed in a sleeveless midi-length dress from Ferragamo’s fall 2023 collection which came with ruching all the way down to its asymmetrical hem. The 28-year-old accessorized the bold number with gold and diamond earrings, and pair of black pointed-toe pumps. As for her glam, she sported pared-back makeup with a mini winged liner, defined brows, and a nude pout, while her grown-out blonde mane was slicked back for a wet hair look.
Come fashion week, Hadid is sure to be a familiar sight on the runways. However, one can expect her schedule to be just as packed when not modeling. Alongside helming her knitwear brand Guest in Residence as its creative director, Hadid is also co-parenting her two-year-old daughter Khai with former partner Zayn Malik. “I think when you are a parent, you have to be intentional, because now, I literally have half the time,” she said in a recent interview. “I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that’s the time I have. And the jobs I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me. I will literally fit in as many jobs as I can on those days. I’m sometimes a crazy person, but if it means a lot to me, then I do it.”
