Dior’s capture line, a trailblazer in skincare science for nearly four decades, entered a bold new era in 2025, reimagining its approach to natural vitality. Committed to empowering women to embrace their individuality and timeless beauty, Dior partnered with actress, producer and long-term friend of the house Charlize Theron, whose fearless career and philanthropic work make her an inspiring ambassador for this new chapter.
For Theron, beauty is about authenticity and confidence. “If you asked me what it was in my 20s, or when I was 15, I think I would give you a different answer every single time,” she says. “Where I am today, as the woman who I’ve become, I feel like beauty has just been stripped to its bare bones for me. Raised on a family farm in Benoni, South Africa, Theron spent her early years pursuing her passion for ballet. She trained rigorously at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York, but her dreams were cut short by a knee injury. Encouraged by her mother to seek new opportunities, Theron relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Her breakout role in Monster (2003) not only earned her an Oscar, but also solidified her reputation as one of Hollywood’s most daring performers. Since then, her career has spanned numerous notable roles, including Young Adult by Jason Reitman (2011), Prometheus by Ridley Scott (2012), Mad Max: Fury Road by George Miller (2015), Atomic Blonde by David Leitch (2017) and Fast and Furious 10 by Louis Leterrier (2023). This July, she will reprise her role in The Old Guard 2, directed by Victoria Mahoney.
