BLSSD, the UAE born and bred, self-titled “street luxe” brand, showed a collection this season that was all grown up. While sportswear still informs the brand’s underlying codes, the label doubled down on masculine femininity, with a sharp focus on tailoring and bold suiting featuring innovative asymmetrical cuts, as well as leather straps placed in unexpected places. With a warm colour palette and cool cuts, the BLSSD woman is maturing—stepping fearlessly into the multifaceted roles expected of a strong, modern woman.
TARA BABYLON
British-Iraqi designer Tara Babylon’s A/W ‘25 collection, Princess of Thieves, reimagined winter fashion with an unconventional twist. Drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern palm tree prints and warm, earthy green tones, the designer wove desert motifs into recycled tapestry, crafting a winter collection that radiated a summery essence. Utilising a mix of weaving, printing, crochet, and hardware techniques, the collection achieves a striking balance of comfort and sustainability, exuding an unexpected tropical ease.
DIMA AYAD
Dima Ayad opened her runway show with one of Aretha Dubai’s musical talents performing a medley of Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” and Fairuz’s “Kefak Inta,” setting a spirited tone for the evening. The brand, known for celebrating sustainability, diversity and empowerment through classic, inclusive styles stayed true to its DNA, whilst upping the ante with feminine flourish. Blending warm neutrals with jewel-tone accents, the designer showcased houndstooth patterns across cocoon coats, sequin dresses, and skirts—honouring the innate elegance of her established label. With outerwear and evening wear designed for cooler evenings, the collection offered a winter wardrobe fit for warmer climates.
