Celebrities seen in Phoenix for Super Bowl 2023: Rihanna, Lance Bass

It’s Arizona’s turn to host the Super Bowl, and celebrities are making their way to metro Phoenix to perform sets across town, party and check out some golf at the WM Phoenix Open golf tournament at TPC Scottsdale.

Major figures in music, entertainment and sports, including Jay-Z, Cardi B, Rihanna, Aaron Rodgers, Kevin Hart, Shaquille O’Neal, Serena Williams and Paris Hilton are just a few of the people expected to be in town. Many more will surely appear unannounced as we get closer to Super Bowl 57 on Sunday, Feb. 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Rihanna

The star of the Apple Music Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show herself arrived in downtown Phoenix on Feb. 9 to talk about what performing during the big game means to her. The Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty founder, new mom and Grammy-winning artist said this ahead of her much-anticipated show, which marks her first since 2018:

“As scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. … And it’s important for me to do this this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”

“That’s a big part of why it’s important for me to do this show,” Rihanna added. “Representing for immigrants, representing for my country, Barbados, representing for Black women everywhere. That’s key for people to see the possibilities and I’m honored to be here.”
