Scandal, what scandal?
It was business as usual for formerly-cancelled Balenciaga over the weekend, with the luxury fashion house hosting its first runway show in more than a year in Los Angeles.
Stars flocked to see the street show in-person, a monumental occasion due to the fact that, for a brief time in November 2022, it seemed the brand would be completely wiped off the map after a century in business.
But grovelling public apologies over an ad campaign critics claimed promoted child exploitation apparently worked wonders for its formerly shattered reputation, with even Kim Kardashian – one of the celebrities who said she’d reevaluate her ties to the brand in the wake of the controversy – being spotted catwalk-side alongside her sister Kendall Jenner.
