It’s a good day when Anne Hathaway teams up with Donatella Versace.
The power duo proved to be a compelling force at Versace’s inaugural Icons dinner, held at New York City’s Rockefeller Center last night. The star-studded event celebrated those “who exist beyond the parameters of celebrity and fashion, including artists, entrepreneurs, actors, human-rights advocates, musicians, and ambassadors of social change” and inspired “an evening of discussion, inspiration, and celebration of their groundbreaking contributions.”
The guest list included celebrities like Cindy Crawford, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Teyana Taylor, Ariana DeBose, and Rachel Brosnahan, as well as change-makers like model Aaron Philip, art curator Nicola Vassell, and artist Anna Weyant.

Additionally, the venue spotlighted the Versace Icon Diaries, a gallery that displayed smartphone-captured photos of moments from the guests’ daily lives, from commuting through the city to catching up with friends. It’s an evocative reminder that Donatella—and the fashion house as a whole—is constantly on a mission to inspire women to own their power, even on the level of the day-to-day.
Last night’s dinner marks the first of three Versace Icons dinners. The second, which will be co-hosted by Chris Lee and Donatella, is set to occur in Shanghai, China, on October 18. The final dinner will take place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
For the occasion, Hathaway (who is the face of the Icons campaign and previously worked with Donatella at the 2023 Met Gala) dressed up in a monochromatic ensemble from Versace’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection. It consisted of a fitted cropped blazer with silver and black buttons bearing the house’s Medusa logo, as well as a column midi skirt with a high-rise silhouette and a hemline that fell just below the knees.
