With Paris Fashion Week over, there is a pinch of sadness in our hearts as everyone heads out from the city, assumingly already thinking about when they will return. The runways may be empty for now, but the sartorial affair left us with one final day of Parisian glitz and glamour.
Below, discover all the highlights from the final day of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024
Chanel
For Chanel, the coming season is all about a bright and youthful disposition sprinkled with the iconic tweed. The ballet flat is most certainly back as it came down the runway paired with everything from striped skirts, and sweaters, to flowing gowns. Then there were the double C flip flops and swimsuits layered under robe-like jackets making it clear that the Chanel woman is more than ready for the summer of 2024. Floral motifs, geometric patterns, and sequins dominated a collection that also provided plenty of inspiration when it came to accessories. Don’t be surprised if you see many woman sporting long-layered necklaces and chunky earrings sometime soon.
Miu Miu
Miu Miu bas cemented its place in the hearts of Gen Z—one simply has to look at those in attendance to understand this. From Emma Chamberlain and Sydney Sweeney to Mia Goth, the front row was full of younger style stars joining more seasoned guests. Of course, there was also that surprise appearance from Troye Siwan on the runway. The collection seemed to perfectly capture the spirit of this younger generation presenting guests with preppy details, shimmering fabrics, and baroque embroidery. The aesthetic may be diverse, as Miu Miu channels everyone from the “clean girl” and a princess to the daring rock star, but that is exactly what the TikTok generation and their ever-changing personas demand.
