After stars like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, and more favored talent from the region in 2023, it seems Arab designers are on their way to making this year even more successful than the last. Only a couple of weeks into 2024, red carpet fashion is off to a great start as awards season kicks off the new year after a long-awaited end to the Sag-Aftra strike. Actors from both, the film and television industries have been stepping out in statement gowns and jumpsuits by Arab designers, who have long been go-to’s for extravagant looks. While Arab couturiers like Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab, Georges Hobeika, and Georges Chakra are regulars on the red carpet, designers like Reem Acra, Monsoori, Yousef Akbar, Atelier Zuhra, and Tony Ward are also having a moment at this year’s awards season.
