This time around, the star embraced a citrusy hue in a phenomenon that many have dubbed “lemon girl summer”. As the name suggests, Gomez’s latest outfit came in a cheerful shade of yellow via a Maison Valentino dress with the brand’s moniker embroidered all over the strappy number. To complete the refreshing look, Gomez’s accessory of choice was a lemon wedge-shaped wicker handbag by Kate Spade, which called for a picture of its own among the singer’s series of OOTD Instagram Stories. The 31-year-old finished the look with cream-colored ballet flats, a diamond necklace, and hoop earrings. As for her glam for the day, the Rare Beauty founder sported a wet, slicked-back side ponytail, alongside shimmering lids, winged liner, and dewy skin.
This is not the first time Gomez has looked to saturated colors to make a statement this summer. Earlier this month, the entrepreneur shared behind-the-scenes photos from a shoot (seemingly for Rare Beauty), which saw her dressed in a blood-orange corset and ombré jacket. The two pieces differed in shade, making the tonal outfit appear more wearable, and well put-together at the same time. Many of the artist’s recent outfits also seem to have been chosen from a color wheel of bright and bold hues. Who can forget her red strapless dress for her 31st birthday party?
