Feuding celebrities are everywhere in Hollywood, but what about the ones who actually make up? We’re taking a look at stars who buried the hatchet after publicly feuding…
For eight years, actor Charlie Sheen and prolific TV producer Chuck Lorre collaborated on the wildly successful CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” But in 2011, despite his claims that he was “winning,” Charlie had a public meltdown that saw him verbally attacking Chuck, which led to the Emmy nominee’s firing and triggered a $100 million lawsuit they eventually settled. But bad (tiger) blood remained. In 2018, Charlie apologized to Chuck, admitting on “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” that he’d “kind of poisoned the waters and I take responsibility for all of that. I was really stupid and juvenile. [Chuck]’s one of the best and the brightest that this industry has ever had the pleasure of witnessing.”
In April 2023 — 12 years after their public falling out — news broke revealing that Charlie and Chuck had buried the hatchet and were back in business together again: Deadline reported that they were reuniting on the Max comedy series “How to Be a Bookie,” which debuts in November 2023. Chuck, a co-writer and executive producer, gave Charlie a recurring role on the show starring Sebastian Maniscalco.
In November 2023, Chuck opened up about how they made things right. “I was nervous, but almost as soon as we started talking, I remembered, we were friends once,” he told Variety. “And that friendship just suddenly seemed to be there again. I don’t want to be too mawkish about it, but it was healing,” he added. “And [Charlie] was also totally game to make fun of himself. When he came to the table read … I walked up, and we hugged. It was just great.”
