Milan Djacic Announced as Editor in Chief of Vogue Adria

Belgrade-based media leader Milan Djacic has been announced as the first editor-in-chief for the newest edition of Vogue — Vogue Adria — which will debut in March 2024. The new title will cover content from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, and other former Yugoslav countries, such as Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Djacic remains one of the most influential personalities in the creative and media industries within the Adriatic region, owing to years of experience and an expansive passion for visual art. Not only did he help shape a vision for Elle Serbia, but in 2015, he also became the youngest fashion editor within the extensive Elle global network. Soon after, Djacic was named the editor-in-chief for Elle Men Serbia.

Eventually, the young editor moved to Buro.serbia, a digital platform for fashion and art enthusiasts, where he also served as editor-in-chief before co-founding Media 3.0 Publishing with Sonja Kovacs and Nenad Janjatovic – Vogue Adria will be published under a license agreement between Condé Nast and Media 3.0 Publishing.

I see Vogue Adria as a melting pot where borders and barriers are transcended through art, activism, and fashion. My vision is based on the idea that those are three pillars necessary for any sort of exchange and dialogue,” he said in a statement. “With strong voices, powerful creative visions, and reinvention of the local fashion and culture scene, Vogue Adria will build an auspicious bridge between collective legacy and heritage on one hand and modern ideas and visions on the other.”

Vogue Adria will launch simultaneously in print and digital. The editorial team, which will be based across the capital cities of Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia, will be announced in the upcoming months. However, Djacic did mention that he is looking forward to inspiring dialogues, reinforcing collaborations, and promoting collectivity with his “youthful and passionate editorial team.”
