Dove and Nike’s new partnership promotes body confidence for girls in sports

Tennis champion Venus Williams has partnered with Dove, and Olympic gold medalist and gymnast Laurie Hernandez has partnered with Nike, to help further promote the program and advocate for young girls in sports. “In sports, girls often face a tremendous amount of pressure—not just around performance and abilities, but also because of unrealistic expectations around their appearances,” shares Williams in a press release. “I am excited to be working with Dove on this initiative to help nurture girls’ self-belief and confidence, foster a positive environment, and shift the conversation from appearance to capability.”
