Emirati Aisha Rashid launched her fine jewelry brand Arqa in 2019. After studying jewelry at the International Gemological Institute (IGI), she obtained a certification in diamond grading from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Post learning the tools of the ade, Rashid knew she wanted to establish her own brand. “I honed my skills and devised a distinctive approach to crafting standout collections,” she says. “This enabled me to create unique pieces that cater to the evolving needs of modern women.” The designer’s burgeoning brand is now redefining minimalist jewelry, creating elegance and balance in bespoke craftsmanship. “I wanted the Arqa collection to suit every woman, with pieces made with the utmost attention to detail. I want my jewelry to offer a timeless blend of modernity and luxury,” she says. Rashid counts architecture and art as inspiration to create Arqa’s dynamic pieces.
