Having faced Covid-19 restrictions, and now the Sag-Aftra strike, the Venice International Film Festival is no stranger to deviations. While its 80th edition may be a little different, stars who have been allowed to promote their work and celebrities outside of Hollywood are doing their part in ensuring the festival’s red carpet fashion is well taken care of. On Tuesday, Spanish-Argentine model Georgina Rodriguez stunned the crowd at the premiere of Enea in a dramatic red number courtesy of Vetements.

Picked from the cult-favorite brand’s SS24 ready-to-wear collection in collaboration with Lebanese couturier Elie Saab, the gown came with an off-shoulder neckline, a ruched bodice, a wraparound knot detail at the hip, and a floor-grazing hem. Elevating the old Hollywood charm of the dress, Rodriguez’s stylist Dav Martens paired it with white opera gloves and a ruby choker for a look reminiscent of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. However, a touch of grunge was added to her outfit via her statement footwear: a pair of black patent leather platform boots.

Red seems to be the color of choice for Rodriguez at this year’s festival, given that she arrived in Venice in yet another dress in the bold hue. Photographed hopping off the water taxi, Rodriguez wore a red, orange, and yellow ombré mini dress from Ferragamo’s SS23 collection, with a pair of red stilettos.

With a few more days left of this year’s festival, it’s safe to say that fans can expect to see more noteworthy style moments from Rodriguez.
