Sadie Sink just gave us the perfect style inspiration for our summer-to-fall wardrobe transition with a 2023 update on a classic.
The 80th Venice International Film Festival is filling the void that 2023’s jet setting European summer content has left behind. Hollywood stars have flocked to the historic Italian city for the festival and the glamorous looks, sparkling jewels and exclusive events are a fashion fantasy to vicariously live through. Although old school glam is abundant, some have opted for a more contemporary look, like Sink, whose sleek little black dress is a more daring take on an evening classic.
The Stranger Things actor was snapped wearing an eye-catching ensemble at Miu Miu’s Women’s Tales Dinner hosted by Muiccia Prada herself in Venice. Sink’s sleek cocktail dress is a satisfying balance between edgy and elegant. She looked a vision wearing a mini halter neck in a midnight sheen with silver buttons for embellishment. Her understated look stands out for its bold details like the symmetrical cutouts at her waist and chest. The minimalist design choice is proof that even the simplest of pieces can be both versatile and show stopping.
Styled by celebrity stylist Molly Dickson, who has worked with the likes of Riverdale’s Camila Mendes and styled fellow dinner attendee Sydney Sweeney, Sadie Sink was in good company at the intimate event. The star-studded guest list included the it-girls of popular TV like Riverdale actor Lili Reinhart, Sex Education’s Mimi Keene and India Amarteifio from Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte. Just like her peers, Sink is no stranger to serving stunning film festival ‘fits. In 2022 she wore a white maxi Alexander McQueen summer dress that channeled the same minimalist cut-out energy. As she continues to carve a space for herself as a fashion girly, we will faithfully fan girl over her closet.
