This weekend, all eyes were on Venice Film Festival, where globally renowned designer Giorgio Armani hosted a fashion extravaganza like no other.
After its success in Dubai and St Moritz, the designer’s One Night Only series continued on September 2 with One Night Only Venezia, which took place at the Arsenale, which is the ancient complex of shipyards and workshops that reside in the eastern corner of Venice. Here. the fashion icon showcased a new haute couture collection inspired by Venice, and continued the special evening with a musical performance by Roísín Murphy and a special set by DJ Mark Ronson.
Along with the stunning ensembles presented at Armani’s show, another major point of interest from One Night Only Venezia was the designer’s star-studded guest list. Actors, directors, musicians and fellow designers from across the globe made sure to touch down in Venice for this once-in-a-lifetime get-together, and many opted to attend dressed in Armani’s glitziest creations. There to support and celebrate Giorgio Armani were the likes of Hollywood icon Sophia Loren, who wore a metallic pantsuit, Golden Globe nominated actor Kerry Washington in a sparkling midnight blue mini, and Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain, who stepped out in a shimmering ebony pantsuit and statement jacket. Giorgio Armani’s guest list also included some of Netflix’s favorite faces, from Lilie Reinhart and Camila Mendes of Riverdale fame, to Bridgerton‘s very own Regé-Jean Page, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story‘s freshest face, India Ria Amarteifio.
And the celebrity spottings didn’t end there. Also in attendance at One Night Only Venezia were Olivia Culpo, who walked in hand-in-hand with Johannes Huebl, Michelel Rodriguez, Sydney Sweeney, and Emmy winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
