Lebanese barrister Amal Clooney is the latest one to do so, as she was photographed on her annual family vacation in Lake Como wearing a black vintage Alaïa sundress with a nude slingback heel. Another summer favorite accessorizing her breezy look? A wide-brimmed straw hat that may also find its way into the wardrobes of Clooney fans, should they choose to embrace her footwear of choice to complete the outfit.
For those who fall in the younger age group, Lily-Rose Depp is one to emulate. The Chanel ambassador was papped going to a store this weekend, wearing a tank top and shorts with a more wearable version of the wedge, which came with a low heel and a black buckled front. A butterfly clip holding her messy bun, black sunglasses, and a woven basket handbag completed her laid-back ensemble.

More vacation-appropriate outfit inspiration came from Nicola Peltz-Beckham, who made headlines for wearing Valentino Haute Couture on her wedding day last year. While holidaying in St Tropez, the actor championed one of the colors of the season, in a white broderie anglaise co-ord with platform wedges to finish off the look. Also clutched in her hand was a woven basket bag not unlike Depp’s, making it three-for-three on the straw accessory and cork wedge combo for those keeping sartorial score.
