Designed by Lebanese brand Laith Maalouf, which is known for its dreamy wedding gowns, the short number came with a strapless neckline, a double-breasted bodice, and an oversized bow on the side. The star completed the look with a pair of matching Valentino Rockstud stilettos and handbag, and statement black sunglasses.
If that wasn’t enough inspiration, two more renowned names embraced the fail-safe trend within a week, and made a strong case for the slip dress at the same time. Hailey Bieber was spotted heading out for dinner in LA wearing an ivory slip dress that featured a delicate lace bodice with a strapless neckline, and had been sourced from Villa Amour Vintage. For accessories, the model opted for strappy heels by Femme, a nude Saint Laurent Le 5 à 7 bag, and gold earrings.
This outfit follows another white pick by Bieber last week, which had been an archival John Galliano cut-out minidress. The 26-year-old had chosen the look for a date night with husband Justin Bieber, much like Amal Clooney, who wore a white floor-length dress for a romantic evening with George Clooney, and Jennifer Lopez, who celebrated her first anniversary with Ben Affleck in an ivory mini this month. However, a date is not the prerequisite for wearing a white dress, as Dua Lipa proved by showing off her take on the look while on vacation in Milan.
