Hannah Rasekh is no stranger to sustainability. The British-Palestinian, London-based creative communications consultant has long been a lover of all things circular, way before being conscious became cool. “Sustainabitly isn’t just a responsibility; it is an opportunity to honour craftsmanship and a lasting relationship with the resources around us. It’s an ethos that guides my personal and professional journey,” she explains.
Blonde and petite, with a clipped Hitchcockian heroine’s sensibility, Rasekh’s collaboration with Diamínd, the lab-grown diamond jewellery brand advocating an ethical approach to conscious consumerism, was right up her alley. The Celestial Collection, which she co-designed with Pamela El Khoury, Diamínd’s founder, is a tribute to the infinite beauty of the cosmos, an interplay of light and space.
Ethereal and dainty, without being twee, the jewellery pieces set in 18-carat gold pay tribute to archival antique pieces, giving them an air of timelessness that is effortlessly elevated. The Nebula ring, a marquise-shaped cluster of sparkling lab-grown diamonds and the Celestia diamond hoop earrings in particular, seem to embody the collection’s allure. Exactly what crushingly understated yet ever so sophisticated women like Rasekh would wear. Her styling tip to personalise the look and make it your own? “Don’t be afraid to push one step further.”
