Van Cleef & Arpels never fails to delight with its creations. The jewelry house’s latest high jewelry collection takes inspiration from the adventure story Treasure Island, written by Robert Louis Stevenson and first published in 1883.
With this theme in mind, the Maison’s designers, craftsmen and experts have created an incredible world that sparkles with hidden splendors. “Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island is a book laden with universal resonance and a powerful collective imagination. It has left its mark on millions of readers and influenced various artistic disciplines, including painting, poetry and the decorative arts. We have tried to bring it to life in a playful and entertaining way, with a High Jewelry collection which I believe awakens a feeling of joy,” explains Nicolas Bos, President and CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels.
The Treasure Island collection was brought to life by first looking into the archives of Van Cleef & Arpels. Using only the finest gemstones — selected for their impeccable clarity, color, cut and weight — the Maison’s newest offerings sparkle and gleam, showcasing multicolored combinations and subtle gradations. The collection recreates exotic landscapes and treasures from all over the world together, and can be split into three chapters.
