Last night, the fashion world turned its gaze to Marrakech, Morocco, for the sixth edition of Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA), a prestigious event celebrating thriving talent across the region.
FTA, founded in 2018, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting designers from the Middle East and North Africa. Led by co-chairs HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Tania Fares, the event recognized a new generation of designers, innovators, and creators across seven distinct categories, reflecting the creativity and skill shaping today’s fashion.
Attendees included top models like Imaan Hammam and Natalia Vodianova, alongside talents such as Azza Slimene and Paris Jackson. Younes Bendjima, Leonie Hanne, Nour Arida, and Nicky Hilton were also spotted at the event. Influential personalities like Yasmine Sabri, Nadine Nassib Njeim, Karen Wazen, Carla Bruni, and Turkish actress Hande Erçel made notable appearances, while international industry insiders such as stylist Law Roach and actor Lucien Leon Laviscount brought a touch of Hollywood glamour to the evening. Alessandra Ambrosio, Balqees, Farida Khelfa, and Halima were also present, along with Maye Musk, highlighting the event’s appeal across different segments of fashion, art, and culture.
This year’s awards were judged by an all-star panel that included well-known designers and industry leaders. Zuhair Murad, Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, and Chrome Hearts co-owner Laurie Stark lent their expertise, alongside first-time judge French singer Aya Nakamura. Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Marni’s Francesco Risso, and Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini contributed their expertise. Other notable judges included Giambattista Valli, Vetements’ Guram Gvasalia, and Amina Muaddi, with IB Kamara, Wayman and Micah, and Ben Gorham also playing key roles.
