Celebs, they are just like us, after all! The newly married Lana Del Rey reportedly skipped the fancy designer dresses and bridal ateliers when prepping for her recent wedding to alligator tour captain Jeremy Dufrene in Louisiana and opted for a secondhand dress instead.

According to TMZ, the musician allegedly bought her ruffled, off-the-shoulder white dress at New Orleans boutique Vintage Market by Trashy Diva, but she actually bought it well in advance of her September wedding, purchasing the dress all the way back in May. TMZ doesn’t have concrete details on the dress, but it was apparently sitting in the window and probably cost less than $400, which the publication says “is the typical price range for wedding dresses at the store.” Hey, when you know, you know, and since vintage dresses are basically one of a kind, it’s never a bad idea to snap up your dream dress if you can afford it. In Del Rey’s case, it pays to plan ahead!

The dress in question was a full-length white lace gown with a ruffled bodice, and Del Rey wore her hair pulled back and over one shoulder, tied with a blue ribbon. The wedding was held on the Louisiana bayou where Dufrene takes tourists on swamp boat tours. “This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them,” a source told People of the wedding. “It was a beautiful, relaxed and family-focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story.”

If Del Rey did, in fact, buy her wedding dress at a vintage store, that’s not entirely surprising; the star is known for shopping off the rack for big events like the Grammy Awards instead of hitting up designers to make her a custom look. (She did, however, wear Alexander McQueen to the Met Gala.)

If superstars like Lana Del Rey can shop secondhand for the biggest day of their lives, maybe it’ll spark a trend amongst her fellow celebs — not to mention…
