Taking place today, Gucci is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated shows of Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024. After newly appointed creative director Sabato De Sarno took the helm of the Italian fashion house, his first collection debuted in the Spring/Summer 2024 season. “I want people to fall in love with Gucci again,” he notably said following his appointment. Now, all eyes will be on the runway in Milan to see how the designer builds on the journey he began in September 2023 when his debut collection featured mainly muted hues with refined accents and thoughtful details. “People have written of my fashion as minimal, quiet luxury, but to me it’s really the opposite,” De Sarno told Vogue at the time. “My overcoat has a shape that is the result of a curating process. We tested it, we chose for wearability. At the end, you see a gray coat, but it’s a little more than a gray coat.”

The teaser imagery for today’s Gucci show in Milan sees a journal in a deep red shade—one of Gucci’s signature colors—with multiple bookmarking tabs sticking out of it, and words reading “Follow your heart.” One doesn’t have to wonder for long who the journal belongs to, as the initials embossed in the corner read SDS for Sabato De Sarno.

It’s also safe to say that the front row at the show will be one to keep an eye out for just as much as the collection. At his debut, the front row was lined with A-listers including Julia Roberts, Alia Bhatt, Jodie Comer, Ryan Gosling, Kylie Jenner, and more.

For those who can’t make it to Milan, make sure to tune in to the Gucci Fall/Winter 2024 show today, February 23 at 6pm GST via the live stream below.
